  1. Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream (SWM)

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) run by the province of Manitoba, is a collection of immigration streams known as Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM). Three immigration streams that are part of Manitoba's "Skilled Workers" program are aimed at foreign nationals who already have work experience or a job offer there and who have the qualifications and training needed to succeed in the province's labor market.

  1. Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)

For competent skilled workers who may be abroad but can show a strong connection to the province, the Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas category is available. Candidates for this program are evaluated using a points-based system that takes into account their age, language competence, work experience, education, and adaptability.

      • Express Entry Pathway

The Manitoba Express Entry (EE) Pathway is for applicants who can demonstrate a high level of human capital and who have the knowledge, experience, and connections to work in Manitoba's In-Demand Occupations list.

Candidates that match the requirements for Express Entry and have an active EE profile and are also qualified under another MPNP stream may apply using this pathway.

      • Human Capital Pathway

The Human Capital Pathway is for international skilled worker applicants whose education and experience match Manitoba's published list of in-demand professions and who exhibit a high potential to forge solid employment ties to those professions as soon as they arrive in Manitoba.

      • Career Employment Pathway

The Career Employment Pathway focuses on foreign nationals who have recently graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution and have an employment offer to work in a sought-after profession there.

      • Graduate Internship Pathway

International graduates who have successfully completed a Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate internship and a Masters or PhD degree in Manitoba within the last three years are eligible to apply for the Manitoba Graduate Internship Pathway.

      • Student Entrepreneur Pathway

The Manitoba Student Entrepreneur Pathway is aimed at international students who have recently graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution and who have at least six months of experience running a business there.

A branch of Manitoba's Business Investor Stream, the Manitoba Entrepreneur Pathway targets seasoned business managers and owners who have a sizable personal net worth and the capacity and willingness to launch a new line of business in Manitoba. Those who apply through this stream must make a sizable financial commitment and operate a new business venture in Manitoba successfully.

      • Manitoba Farm Investor Pathway

The Manitoba Business Investor Stream includes a stream called the Manitoba Farm Investor Pathway. This stream targets foreign nationals who have a substantial net worth, a history of owning and/or managing a farm, and the ability and desire to participate in the creation of a new farm in Manitoba. Those who apply through this stream must make a sizable financial commitment and effectively run a new farm in Manitoba.
