Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program
The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), is a group of immigration pathways that aims to bring in immigrants with business acumen, skilled employees, and young graduates who have just finished post-secondary education.
With the island’s economic growth, its government deemed it necessary to participate in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to bring more foreign workers to its territory.
Successful candidates will be given a PEI Nominee Certificate, which will expedite the application process for a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa. You can be eligible for the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) via one of the seven streams.
The Skilled Worker Stream's requirements
Through the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program, you can apply for a PEI Express Entry nomination for permanent residence (PEI PNP). You will have a better chance of receiving an Invitation to Apply from the federal government if you are nominated through the PEI PNP.

Prince Edward Island PNP (PEI PNP) Business Impact Category
Individuals seeking to immigrate to Canada on a business visa may gain from the Business Impact stream of the PEI PNP by establishing a business with 100% ownership or investing in a new or existing PEI business. They may also decide to invest in a PEI company in order to get a work visa, which would facilitate a smoother transfer to Canada and PEI.
100% Ownership Stream Requirements
- possess a $600,000 verified personal net worth.
- Possess the knowledge, training, age, language proficiency, and experience necessary to run a business in P.E.I.
- Put at least $150,000 CAD into a P.E.I. business enterprise.
- Sign an escrow agreement specifying that a $150,000 deposit will be kept by the province up until the agreement's terms are met.
- own an IELTS score of at least 4.0 and have taken the test within the last two years.
- Prepare a detailed business plan after visiting the province explaining the applicant’s intentions for settling in P.E.I. and taking an active role in the management of the business venture
Partial Ownership Stream Requirements
- the same requirements as the 100% ownership stream, with the exception of making a minimum $1 million investment or investing $150,000 into a new or existing PEI business for a fractional ownership interest of at least 33 1/3% of voting shares.

- After touring the province, create a thorough business plan outlining the applicant's goals for relocating to P.E.I. and actively participating in the operation of the firm.

Prince Edward Island (PEI PNP) Labour Impact Category
Skilled Worker Stream Requirements
- possess a job offer for a full-time, long-term position from a PEI business with a minimum tenure of two years and a NOC skill level of O, A, or B.
- possess a current work visa if employed by a PEI employer
- possess a valid visa for your country of residence
- able to make it to an interview at the Office of Immigration, Settlement, and Population if necessary
- possess a diploma or have successfully completed at least two years of post-secondary study
- Have completed five years of appropriate education or full-time employment
- Having the necessary language skills
- Show a sincere desire to settle in Prince Edward Island.
- Demonstrate adequate financial means and settlement assistance, as evidenced by transferrable cash, to pay for the fees of immigration and travel.
Critical Worker Stream Requirements
- Have a full-time, long-term (permanent or minimum of 2 years job offer from a PEI employer within an NOC skill level of C or D in one of the following occupations: customer service representative, truck driver, laborer, food and beverage server or housekeeping attendant.
- Have worked a minimum of 6 months full-time for a PEI employer
- Have a legal work permit
- Have legal status in country of residence
- Within the past 5 years, have relevant schooling or full-time work experience
- Meet the language requirements
- If required, be able to attend an interview at the Office of Immigration, Settlement and Population
- Demonstrate genuine intention to settle in PEI
International Graduate Stream Requirements
- Offer of a permanent, full-time position at a NOC skill level of 0, A, or B from a Prince Edward Island employer in their field of study
- worked for the Prince Edward Island employer for at least six months
- Must have legal status in Canada
- A current post-graduate work permit is required.
- Must be able to appear for a mandatory interview at the Office of Immigration.
- must have finished a full-time, at least two-year diploma or degree program.
- must be in possession of a current diploma or degree from an accredited university or college in Prince Edward Island.
- must have completed two years of full-time study at an approved university or college on Prince Edward Island.
- should be between the ages of 21 and 55.
- For the position being given by an employer in Prince Edward Island, you must be able to speak English and/or French.
- In order for the applicant and family to pay for immigration costs, travel expenditures, and to establish in Prince Edward Island, the applicant and family must demonstrate sufficient settlement supports and financial resources, including transferable cash.
