For skilled workers with a job offer from an authorized employer in the province, the PNP Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker category has an Employment Offer Sub-Category. Applicants must fulfill a number of requirements in order to be eligible for this Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program stream.

Candidates are qualified if they:

  • Score at least 60 points out of a possible 100 on the Saskatchewan INP point evaluation scale.
  • possess at least one year's worth of experience working in the targeted field during the last ten years.
  • possess a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 in language
  • If the desired activity is a regulated profession or a craft that requires mandatory apprenticeship, you must provide documentation proving your eligibility for a Saskatchewan license.
  • Have a permanent, full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.

  • Occupation in Demand

The PNP Saskatchewan Skilled Worker category has a subcategory for skilled employees who are highly skilled in an in-demand occupation but do not currently have a job offer in the province. The candidate must fulfill a number of prerequisites in order to apply for this SINP stream.

Candidates are qualified if they:

  • Score at least 60 points on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program's 100-point scale.
  • possess a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 in language
  • possess at least one year of post-secondary education, training, or apprenticeship that is comparable to the Canadian educational system. During this term, the candidate needs to have obtained a diploma, certificate, or degree.
  • Have at least one year of work experience in the last 10 years
  • Have proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan

  • Express Entry

The Express Entry Sub-Category of the SINP International Skilled Worker Category is for skilled workers that are in the candidate pool of Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s Express Entry system. There are a number of requirements that must be satisfied in order for an potential immigrant to be eligible for this Saskatchewan PNP stream.

Candidates are qualified if they:

  • are given an Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code after being accepted into the IRCC's Express Entry Pool.
  • Score at least 60 points out of a possible 100 on the Saskatchewan INP point evaluation scale.
  • cite reliable language test scores from a recognized testing organization. The outcomes have to correspond to what was stated on the Express Entry profile.
  • possess at least one year of post-secondary education, training, or experience that is equivalent to the Canadian educational system. During this time, the candidate should have obtained a diploma, certificate, or degree.
  • possess professional experience in a Saskatchewan-demanding, highly skilled occupation listed in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) 0, A, or B.

  1. Saskatchewan Experience Stream

  • Skilled Worker with Existing Permit

Those who have been employed in Saskatchewan for at least six months with a current work permit fall under this subcategory.

Applicants are eligible if they:

  • possess an offer for a full-time, permanent job from a Saskatchewan firm. The position needs to be listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC)
  • possess an approved job letter in force
  • possess a valid work visa issued by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada and have worked for the employer who is providing them the job for a period of time greater than six months. Their offer of a full-time, permanent job must be for the same role that they have held for the previous six months.
  • If their profession is regulated in Saskatchewan and requires a mandatory Saskatchewan license or certification, they must possess documentation of their eligibility.

  • Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker with an Existing Work Permit

People who have had a valid work permit and have been employed in Saskatchewan for at least six months fall under this subcategory. Applicants must additionally fulfill the requirements specified below.

Applicants are eligible if they:

  • Possess a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer for one of the full-time, permanent positions mentioned in NOC 8431 or 8432.
  • have a Saskatchewan INP Job Approval Letter in good standing
  • possess a valid work permit and have at least six months of prior experience working for the individual providing them the job. Work experience must pertain to the position being offered.
  • possess a minimum of a high school diploma from Canada, its equivalent, or another degree
  • Have a language score on the CLB of at least a 4

  • Health Professionals

People who have spent at least six months working as a doctor, nurse, or in another health profession in Saskatchewan are eligible for this subcategory.

1. Physicians are eligible if they:

  • possess an active work permit

  • have at least six months' worth of professional experience as a doctor in the province.

  • possess a full-time, permanent job offer from a provincial health authority together with verified documentation

  • A genuine Saskatchewan INP Job Approval Letter was received.

2. Nurses are eligible if they:

  • possess an active work permit
  • have at least six months of nursing experience in the province.
  • possess a full-time, permanent work offer from a reputable firm in the public health sector
  • A genuine Saskatchewan INP Job Approval Letter was received.

3. Other health professionals are eligible if they:

  • possess an active work permit
  • have been employed for at least six months in a province-recognized health profession.
  • possess a full-time, permanent work offer from a reputable organization or another company in the health industry
  • A genuine Saskatchewan INP Job Approval Letter was received.
  • possess the training, credentials, and licenses necessary to perform the duties of the position.

  • Hospitality Sector Project

Foreigners who are employed in Saskatchewan's hotel industry and wish to apply for permanent residency in the territory should use this subcategory.

Applicants are eligible if they:

  • possess a working permit that is valid for one of the following jobs:
  • Serving food and beverages (NOC 6453);
  • Kitchen Assistant/Food Counter Attendant (NOC 6641); or
  • Cleaning and Housekeeping Staff (NOC 6661)
  • work for a recognized Saskatchewan Hospitality company and have been employed in Saskatchewan for at least six months;
  • possess a job offer for a permanent, full-time position from an organization recognized by Saskatchewan Hospitality;
  • own a current SINP Job Approval Letter
  • possess at least a high school diploma (or its equivalent); and
  • Demonstrate proof of CLB 4 or above language proficiency in all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in a test administered by a recognized testing organization within two years of the application date.

  • Long-Haul Truck Driver Project

Trucking companies may send long-haul truck drivers to Saskatchewan using this subcategory. Candidates must start working for an authorized trucking company in Saskatchewan on a temporary foreign work permit in order to be considered for this project. After working for at least six months for a trucking company that has been approved, a trucker may apply to the Saskatchewan INP for permanent residence status. Additionally, the trucker must be eligible under this subcategory's unique requirements.

To be eligible under the Long-Haul Truck Drivers Project sub-category, applicants must:

  • possess a temporary work permit and have worked for a Saskatchewan trucking company that is SINP-approved for at least six months;
  • possess a valid Class 1A driver's license for Saskatchewan;
  • possess a full-time, long-term job offer from their employer (which, in Saskatchewan, must be a trucking company certified by SINP);
  • possess a current SINP Job Approval Letter; and
  • demonstrate CLB 4 or above language proficiency in all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) on a test administered by a recognized testing organization within two years of the application date.

 

  • Students

Students who have completed a recognized post-secondary program in Canada and have been offered a permanent, full-time position by a company in Saskatchewan are eligible for this subcategory. This job offer requires SINP approval prior to the individual applying. The employer must sign up on the SINP Employer website in order to receive this approval. A letter of job approval will be given if the offer is accepted. The candidate must submit a copy of this document with their SINP application.

Requirements for the Students Stream:

  • Graduates of Saskatchewan Institutes must:

      • Have graduated with a certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Saskatchewan

*The program must have been equivalent to at least one academic year (eight months) of full-time study*

      • Have a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 as demonstrated on a designated language test taken within the past two years if the job offer is in a NOC level C occupation;
      • Have a minimum of six months (960 hours) of paid work experience in Saskatchewan;
      • Eligible types of work experience in Saskatchewan include on-campus, off-campus, co-op terms, graduate fellowships that can be verified by the institution, and work experience gained on a post-graduate work permit.
      • Have applied for and received a valid post-graduation work permit from IRCC
      • Have a current, permanent, full-time job offer in their field of study from a Saskatchewan employer in a NOC level 0, A, or B occupation or trade, OR a job offer requiring post-secondary education; and
      • Have a valid SINP Job Approval Letter

  • Graduates Outside of Saskatchewan Institutes must:

  • Have graduated with a certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Canada (outside of Saskatchewan);

*The program must have been equivalent to at least one academic year (eight months) of full-time study*

  • Have a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 as demonstrated on a designated language test taken within the previous two years if the job offer is in a NOC level C occupation;
  • Have a minimum of 24 consecutive months (two years) of paid full-time work experience (minimum 3,840 hours) in Saskatchewan after graduation and after receiving a valid post-graduation work permit;
  • Eligible types of work experience in Saskatchewan include work experience gained on a post-graduate work permit.
  • Have a valid post-graduation work permit from IRCC;
  • Have a current, permanent, full-time job offer in their field of study from a Saskatchewan employer in a NOC level 0, A, or B occupation, OR a designated trade, OR a job offer requiring a post-secondary education; and
  • Have a valid SINP Job Approval Letter.

  1. Entrepreneur and Farm Category

  1. Entrepreneur Sub-Category

Those who want to open and actively run a business in Saskatchewan belong in this category. Candidates must assume an active managerial position inside the company. Please be aware that applications for this category are based on a system called an Expression of Interest (EOI). Following are the three steps before nomination. Candidates must submit an (EOI) to the Saskatchewan INP to express their interest in starting or running a business there. Second, successful applicants will be sent an invitation to apply based on a list of program prerequisites. The final step, Provincial Nomination, is rather straightforward.

  1. Farm Sub-Category

Candidates for this category are those who intend to immigrate to Saskatchewan in order to acquire and manage a farm there. Candidates may be eligible for nomination under the Young Farmer Stream if they are under 40 years old. This stream's eligibility requirements include having equity available, making a refundable cash deposit, making a required trip to Saskatchewan, having knowledge of and expertise with farm operations, and making a convincing case for a commercial farming venture.
