British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)

BC PNP is one of Canada's most popular streams with two main categories for workers and entrepreneurs.

Workers

The BC PNP Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams are intended for workers or international graduates with the skills, education and/or experience required for high-demand occupations in B.C.

  1. Skills Immigration categories:

To qualify, you must first have a valid job offer from a qualified B.C. employer (Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B) and relevant two years of training and experience. Applicants must meet other eligibility requirements. This stream has five subcategories:

  • Skilled Worker
  • Healthcare Professional
  • International Graduate
  • International Post-Graduate
  • Entry Level and Semi-Skilled (Including employment in the Northeast Development Region of B.C.) Express Entry BC categories:

  1. Express Entry categories:

To qualify, you must first have a valid job offer from a qualified B.C. employer (Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B), relevant two years of training and experience and have received an Express Entry Profile Number and a Job Seeker Validation Code from the IRCC Express Entry system. This shows you meet the minimum criteria for one of IRCC's Express Entry programs. The applicants must meet other requirements as well. This category is divided into four different subcategories:

  • Skilled Worker
  • Healthcare Professional
  • International Graduate
  • International Post-Graduate

Except for the International Post-Graduate stream, applicants must have a valid job offer from a B.C. employer. The job offer must be indeterminate with one exception of BC PNP Tech Pilot in which a job offer could be only one-year duration with at least 120 days remaining on the job offer. Each category has its own requirements and eligibility criteria.

Entrepreneurs

The Entrepreneur Immigration stream of the B.C. is a path to immigrate to Canada and settle in B.C. for experienced entrepreneurs who can support innovation and economic growth in the province. Applicants who qualify will be issued a work permit to establish or expand a business in B.C., and subsequently apply for permanent residency in Canada. This program is one of the most desirable entrepreneur programs in Canada. It consists of three different subcategories: Base category, Regional Pilot Program and Strategic Projects.
